One comparison that continually amazes me even to this day is the comparison of any conservative to Adolf Hitler.  There even was a previous argument regarding it on this site between myself and another contributor of this site.

Just type up “(famous conservative name here) Hitler” in the Google search bar of your browser and you will find a cornucopia of sites dedicated to a comparison of your GOPer of choice and the degenerate himself.  My two current favorites: Sarah Palin and George W Bush.

Only liberals seem to be justified in marginalizing the victimization of over 11 million people and the millions of deaths that occurred through the Holocaust by comparing conservatives to Hilter.  Somehow simply believing in conservative ideals makes you equal to the architect of genocide.

Dare you spout the truth about gender and genetics or suggest that not all ethnic groups are the same and you will be thrown into that class as well.

But I guess it is only when a small group of people are victimized that it is ok to protest.  Once that number goes beyond 1 million, forget any liberal support against the cause.  For example, the protesting of the Vietnam War concurrent with the strange silence over Skull Mountain and Pol Pot’s regime.

The ethnic cleansing that was taking place in Bosnia during the Clinton Administration was a worthy cause to back.  (Probably this was mostly due to it being Clinton’s war.)  On the contrary, ousting a dictator responsible for trying to cleanse Iraq of the Kurds was not an OK war.

Oh wait, that was G-Dub’s war.  Can’t back that!

And since there were no WMD’s found after, I guess that made Saddam a man of peace?  Let’s award him the Nobel Prize for Peace alongside Yasser Arafat!

It’s funny that the converse comparison by conservatives about liberals is by calling them Marxist.  How do we dare make a comparison based on political idealisms!  Madness!!

Do let’s stop the Hitler talk.  OK?  If not for your own lack of creative criticism, do it so you don’t insult the millions of lives destroyed by Hitler’s actions.  They deserve better.

And about Palin: the only thing that she did wrong was steal some of the thunder away from Obama’s campaign.  Well, that and resigning a little early from office.  But my god, that surely ranks up there in atrocious actions!
